Hogs continue successful run at Speedo Sectionals

Colombia, Mo. – After the third day concluded at the Speedo Sectional Championships, Arkansas Swimming completed a successful day of competition. Bradi Jones was first in the 100m breaststroke with a time of 1:10.78 and Reilly Shaner was fourth with a time of 1:12.78. In the 50m backstroke, Andrea Sansores and Kobie Melton both broke their personal bests. Andrea Sansores finished first with a time of 28.74, however, Kobie Melton finished second with a time of 29.18.

“It was another fun day for our Lady Razorbacks. 2 events, 2 golds, 1 silver, 1 4th place, 3 lifetime best performances and 2 championship records. Our small team stands out for its high level of performance,” said head coach Neil Harper. These six ladies are focused and worked hard in the spring and summer to earn this improvement and success. Kobie broke the championship record in the heats and then she and Andrea met in the final and Andrea just passed Kobie for the gold and the new record!
