SFO says “Halo-Halo!” : Welcome event today

Filipino Student Organization

Please join us at the Chi Omega Greek Theater on August 31st from 11am-2pm to relax and enjoy the FSO welcome event!

To celebrate the start of the 2022-23 academic year, the Filipino Student Organization would like to treat U of A students in this August heat to a refreshing dessert that the Philippines is well known for, Halo-Halo. Please join us at the Chi Omega Greek Theater from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today, August 31, to relax and enjoy the FSO welcome event!

Halo-Halo is a delicious combination of shaved ice, creamy milk, multi-colored jellies, topped with flan and ube ice cream made with purple yams, giving it its signature purple color. Halo-Halo also literally translates to “mix,” because the best way to enjoy it is to mix all the ingredients together for a deliciously well-balanced bite of everything. FSO would like to share one of the most popular desserts in Filipino culture with all UARK students and hope they enjoy it as much as we do.

This event is supported by the Student Activities Fee as an Associated Student Government Funded Event and is free to all students currently enrolled at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville who pay the Student Activity Fee . For questions regarding the event or for accommodations due to a disability, please contact FSO President Lyncelle Sumilang by email: [email protected]
